Garlic Butter Corn
Canned corn with butter and a little seasoning. Takes 5 minutes and turns a basic side into something people will actually look forward to.
Allergens: Contains Dairy (butter).
Ingredients
- 2 cans (15 oz each) corn, drained
- 2 tablespoons butter
Optional Extras
- Salt and pepper
- Garlic powder
- A pinch of sugar
Equipment
- Small pot or skillet
- Stirring spoon
Instructions
- Drain the corn.
- Melt the butter in a small pot or skillet over medium heat.
- Add the drained corn. Stir to coat with the butter.
- Cook for 3–4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until heated through and starting to get a little golden in spots.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, or a pinch of sugar if you have them. Serve hot.
Notes
- Dairy-free: Use vegetable oil instead of butter. Add a pinch of salt.
- Make it a meal: Stir in drained canned black beans and serve over rice.
- Microwave method: Combine drained corn and butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes, stir, and season.
- Goes well with: Pretty much everything. Serve alongside any of the dinner recipes in this collection.
