- 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy alternative)
- ½ cup cereal (plain oat-based cereal like Cheerios, or bran flakes)
- 1 banana, sliced
- 2 tablespoons peanut butter
- Optional: Pinch of cinnamon, Drizzle of honey

Instructions
- Pour the milk into a small pot and bring it to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
- Add the cereal. Stir and cook for 2–3 minutes until the cereal softens and the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat. Stir in the peanut butter until melted and mixed through.
- Top with sliced banana. Add cinnamon or honey if you have them.
notes & tips
- Why cereal? Plain cereals like Cheerios or bran flakes break down into a porridge-like texture when cooked in milk. It works surprisingly well.
- No banana? Canned peaches or pears (drained and chopped) make a great substitute.
- Make it more filling: Add a second tablespoon of peanut butter.
- Peanut allergy? Skip the peanut butter and add an extra half banana and a tablespoon of butter for richness instead.
- Dairy-free? Use any non-dairy milk alternative. The recipe works the same.
